Our patients are seen by appointment. This gives us the opportunity to allocate the doctors' time and proves more convenient for the patient. If your primary care physician asks you to call us for an appointment, please do so as soon as possible, especially if you are told to schedule yourself for a specific procedure. When making your initial appointment, please explain your needs to our receptionist. Our receptionist is qualified to answer your questions and will give you the next available appointment. You will be asked for insurance information at this time.
Procedures such as colonoscopy and endoscopy are scheduled by a nurse. You will be asked to leave a brief messsage. The scheduler will return your call to take a medical history and insurance information. A date and time for the procedure will be agreed upon at that time. We try our best to stay on schedule, although emergencies and delays sometimes arise. If we are seriously delayed, we will try to notify you beforehand and, if necessary, help you reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. It may seem that patients are called from the waiting room out of turn. Please note we have nine (9) physicians and patients are waiting for procedures visits as well as office visits. We ask your patient if you have to wait. We know your time is valuable, and we hate to keep you waiting.
Regular office hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. Telephones operate from 8:00 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. on Fridays. Each of our doctors has specific hours he is in the office, and the receptionist will outline these to you when you call to schedule an appointment at 210-614-1234 or via email at info@gastroconsa.com.
