High-quality and compassionate care for patients in South Texas

As a first timer with this kind of procedure, I was a little nervous about my upcoming appointment. Honestly, the prep for the exam was the hardest thing about it. Dr. Jackson and his team were super helpful , comforting and reassuring. Everything was done on a very professional level. I was in and out in less than an hour and was able to enjoy my breakfast earlier than I had expected! Dr Jackson and his team are the best; I will be using them again if the need ever arises. I highly recommend Dr Jackson to any “newbies” who are as anxious as I was about it.

Dr. Guirl is amazing, I know he’s an extremely busy Dr but whenever I’ve had an appointment, I always feel like I have his undivided attention and never feel rushed. He’s so good at explaining difficult to talk about diagnosis and seems to genuinely want me to understand my options & how to best proceed w/ a plan to improve my health. His staff are all so friendly and professional. I especially love that whenever I am there for a Dr.’s appointment, that I never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes before seeing the Dr. So much easier to plan your day that way, no need to plan on taking half a day off from work just for a follow-up Dr.’s appointment. I can highly recommend Dr. Guirl and the Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio.

I had my very first colonoscopy at age 65. This place was wonderful. They eased my anxiety right away. Dr. Cavazos was very friendly and explained everything very well. He even took time for any questions I had. I would recommend this doctor and facility. Everyone, even the receptionist, was very friendly.
