Deion Sanders Shares Important Message About Colonoscopies

Deion Sanders, also known as Coach Prime, did one of the best things for his health recently – he got a colonoscopy! His post-procedure message on Instagram encouraged others to stay proactive about their wellness. A colonoscopy is the gold-standard method for colon cancer screening. Everyone should get their first colonoscopy at age 45, and then continue at regular intervals based on their doctor’s recommendations. People with increased risk may need to start sooner or have more frequent colonoscopies. Those at higher risk include people with a family history of colon cancer or inflammatory bowel diseases.

Fortunately, according to the post, Coach Prime’s colonoscopy was all clear. His message was also clear – getting tested is the only way to know that you don’t have a problem. And, since you’ll be under general anesthesia, you won’t remember a thing.
